This has been a very trying 15 months for my family. My 87 yr. old father was murdered on December 19, 2006. He was hijacked, and kidnapped while shopping at our Meijers store.  The guy that killed him was out on an early release for only 3 weeks before dad was killed. This guy killed him for 36 cents! He then dismembered him and threw half of his body in an abandoned house in Detroit. To this day we still don\'t know where the other half of his body is. The murderer got 100-150 years in prison. Michigan doesn\'t have the death penality....I wish we did. It has been really hard on my sister and I.  I still have nightmares, but not as many as before. This is why my husband and I moved to Florida...to get out from all the bad memories. Last June my husband\'s dad died of cancer. He was diagnosed and was dead 8 days later. Now my husband\'s mom is dying of oral cancer and will probably not live through the spring.

Sometimes I just wonder.....why us...why do bad things happen to good people?
